Craft-Bamboo Racing enters fourth SEAT for season opener
Craft-Bamboo Racing is going to enter a fourth SEAT León for Hong Kong driver Frank Yu in the Sepang season opener of the 2015 TCR International Series.
“I am very excited to join the first round of the TCR international series. I have been extremely interested in this series since it was first revealed and I am glad that it is finally here,” said Yu.
Yu has previously raced GT cars in Asia mainly, claiming the 2012 Malaysian Super Series GT title and finishing third in the 2011 Renault Clio Cup China.
”It’s my first time driving a front-wheel drive turbo touring car and with my limited track time I know that this will be a challenge, but I am looking to gain as much experience as possible. I know I will be going up against some strong competition but I am very happy to be a part of the inaugural race in Sepang,” said Yu.
While the team so far has entered their fourth SEAT for the season start only, they intend to get it out for further races during the season.
“We are committed to three cars for the full year, but we will likely see the #99 make appearances throughout the season. The countdown has started to the first race of the season and the final preparations are well underway,” said Richard Coleman, CEO of Craft-Bamboo Racing.
