Michelin returns as tyre supplier for STCC

Michelin is back as tyre supplier for the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship ahead of the 2015 season.
”We are happy to have reached an agreement with Michelin for a cooperation surrounding our classes. Michelin is an extremely strong brand within motorsport and becomes a suitable and important partner for us,” said Jonas Lundin, Managing Director for STCC AB.

Michelin will also supply supply support classes Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia, Swedish GT and Formula Renault with tyres for this season.

”We are happy to be back to STCC and we look forward to the coming season. We believe in a strong future for motorsport in Sweden and we are really happy to be here to test the new tyres for the future,” said Annika Girod, head of sponsoring of Michelin Nordic.

Michelin was last tyre suppler for STCC in 2008. Yokohama was tyre supplier from 2009 to 2014, with Hankook stepping for one year in 2013 after the TTA merger.
