Target Competition confirms three SEATs for 2015 TC3
Target Competition has confirmed its programme for the inaugural TC3 International Series in 2015 with three SEAT León Cup Racers, the same type of car the team campaigned in this year’s new SEAT León Eurocup.
The Italian squad was the first team to confirm its participation in the new series, which gets under way in Malaysia on March 29th, supporting the FIA Formula 1 World Championship, and has now confirmed it will run the popular new SEAT León Cup Racer in the series, in addition to running four cars in the 2015 SEAT Eurocup.
With six cars set to be the cap per marque in the series, it leaves just one more spot open for a team to run the Spanish cars. Engstler Motorsport confirmed last week it would leave the FIA World Touring Car Championship and enter three Volkswagen Golfs in TC3, which we be developed on the SEAT León Cup Racer platform.
“It’s fantastic to be one of the Teams in the TC3 Series. We was from beginning on part of this project andthe collaboration with Marcello Lotti is perfect,” said team manager Andreas Gummerer.
“For sure the championship will be very competitive, but we are very confident to be strong, considering our experience with car,” he added.
The team is yet to confirm the driver line-up for its programme.
