Camilo Echevarría joins Engstler for home race
There will be one extra Argentinian driver on the grid this weekend, as 23-year-old Camilo Echevarría joins Liqui Moly Team Engstler for his home race at Termas de Río Hondo.
Echevarría competes in the TC Pista championship, the supporting class to the country’s top tier Turismo Carretera series, where he is currently second place in the standings, and also competed in the 200km of Buenos Aires Super TC 2000 race with Toyota Team Argentina.
Echevarría takes the place of Italian driver Pasquale Di Sabatino for this weekend, who may return later in the season.
Di Sabatino was second in the Yokohama Trophy standings on 98 points, 46 points behind team-mate Franz Engstler after taking a class victory at the Hungaroring in May.
Echevarría will drive the #15 Liqui Moly Team Engstler BMW 320 TC.
