Homola and Sladecka lead Slovakian 1-2 in wet warm-up
The two Slovakian drivers in the field, Mat’o Homola and Samuel Sladecka, were the two fastest drivers in a wet morning warm-up at the Slovakiaring.
Mat’o Homola, who starts from pole position for Race 1 in his BMW 320 TC, lapped the circuit with a time of 2:28.366, ahead of Samuel Sladecka’s Alfa Romeo 156 S2000.
Norbert Kiss, the Hungarian, also driving an Alfa Romeo entered by Team Unicorse, was third fastest in the damp conditions, ahead of Petr Fulín’s Krenek Motorsport BMW 320si and Igor Skuz, in the Campos Racing Chevrolet Cruze 1.6T.
TC2T class points leader Nikolay Karamyshev was seventh fastest overall, just ahead of Proteam’s Mikhail Grachev, who will start from the back of the grid for the first race.
Andreas Pfister was the fastest of the rain-favouring SEAT León Supercopas in ninth, while Gilles Bruckner was the quickest in the S1600 class in his Ford Fiesta ST, 22nd overall.
The first race gets underway at 9:55 CET.
