Petr Fulín withdrawn from Morocco due to qualifying damage
Petr Fulín will not make his WTCC debut this weekend in Marrakech, as Campos Racing have been unable to repair his car due to the damage he sustained when he crashed at the second chicane in Q1 yesterday.
The 36-year-old Czech was set to make his debut for Campos Racing in the team’s SEAT León WTCC in the TC2T class. Fulín is the reigning ETCC S2000 drivers’ champion and begins his title defence of that series next weekend at the Paul Ricard circuit.
Fulín had been the second quickest of the TC2T class cars this weekend behind Franz Engstler, and had qualified in 16th position overall.
Münnich Motorsport have completed repairs on Gianni Morbidelli’s Chevrolet Cruze TC1, and the Italian will now start from 18th and last for both of today’s races.
