Nikola Miljković and Aku Pellinen join Single-Make Trophy
Serbian driver Nikola Miljković and Finnish driver Aku Pellinen are the latest drivers confirmed to be taking part in this year’s FIA European Touring Car Cup, both driving SEAT León Supercopas in the Single-Make Trophy class.
18-year-old Miljkovic is a graduate from Hill Climb racing, just like Dušan Borković, who drove in the ETCC last season and will graduate to the WTCC this season with Campos Racing.
Pellinen, 20, has been recently racing in Italy, driving in the Italian Formula Abarth Championship last year and a multiple winner while racing in 2012 in both the Trofeo Abarth 500 Europe series, where he was also the series champion, as well as the SEAT Ibiza Cup Italia.
“I am really looking forward to my first ETCC season,” said Pellinen. “I think this is one of the best options to develop my career, because the series is part of the WTCC events that attract a lot of interest from the public and media. I will have to cope with a new car and new tracks, so it will be a learning season for me, but I want to push from the very beginning.”
