New owners for Tierp Arena

Swedish racing circuit Tierp Arena went bankrupt late last year but has found new owners in the form of Sånna Förvaltning, a company which also owns the Sturup Raceway in the south of Sweden.

The circuit was sold for 20 million Swedish kronor and new owner Cemoni Ohlsson is keen to get operations up and running again quickly.
“The goal is to develop this to a multi arena within motorsport and we are hoping to host drag racing already this summer,” said Ohlsson to sr.se.

Tierp Arena hosted STCC last year but has not been featured on the current STCC calendar due to the bankruptcy. The new owners have indicated that they might be back with STCC this year.
