BMW confirms its driver line-up for the 2014 DTM season
BMW Motorsport has announced its driver line-ups for the 2014 DTM season.
The 2013 DTM championship runner-up, Augusto Farfus, will be retained alongside his 2013 team-mate, Joey Hand, at Bart Mampaey’s RBM team.
Martin Tomczyk, who won the 2011 DTM title with Audi, and then spent the next two seasons with the Stefan Reinholdt run RMG outfit, will take the second seat at Schnitzer alongside the 2012 DTM champion, Bruno Spengler.
The winner of the final 2013 DTM round at Hockenheim, Timo Glock, will stay at the MTEK squad, and will be joined by rookie, Antonio Felix da Costa.
Meanwhile, Marco Wittmann, who drove alongside Glock in 2013, will move to the RMG team with Maxime Martin, who was promoted to a race-seat after acting as BMW’s test driver last season.
Andy Priaulx and Dirk Werner, who were part of BMW’s line-up since its return to the series in 2012, have moved to BMW’s GT programme in the US-based United SportsCar Championship for 2014.
