Pfister Racing expands to two cars for the 2014 ETCC
German team Pfister Racing will expand to two cars for the 2014 FIA European Touring Car Cup, continuing to run a SEAT León Supercopa in the Single-Make Trophy class for team owner/driver Andreas Pfister as well as running a Citroën C2 VTS for Patrick Wolf.
26-year-old Andreas Pfister finished fifth in the Single-Make Trophy class this season, with his challenge derailed after a heavy crash in the first race at the Salzburgring involving Dusan Borkovic, Petr Fulín and Jordi Oriola, which saw Pfister forced to miss the second race as well.
Pfister finished as runner-up in 2012 in the SMT class after a season long duel with Norwegian driver Stian Paulsen in the category.
The German will return for a third consecutive season in the ETCC, joined by Swiss driver Patrick Wolf, who will be behind the wheel of a Citroën C2 VTS and will be competing in the Super 1600 class.
The 2014 ETCC season begins at the Paul Ricard circuit on April 20th, sharing the date with the FIA World Touring Car Championship.
