BMW and SEAT gain weight for the Macau finale
The BMW 320 TCs and SEAT León WTCCs will get compensation weight increases of 30kg and 10kg respectively for the final round of the 2013 FIA World Touring Car Championship at Macau, with Chevrolet and Honda remaining on the maximum weight.
The Chevrolet Cruze 1.6T remains the reference car taking into account performances in the races and qualifying over the last three events, but only just. The Honda Civic S2000 TC is just 0.1 seconds slower than the championship winning Cruze, and so likewise will carry the maximum 40kg of compensation weight next weekend.
The BMW 320 TC will move from -20kg from base weight to +10kg, as the cars are 0.6 seconds off the pace, and the SEATs will move from -20kg to -10kg, 0.8 seconds down on the Cruzes’ reference time.
The Lada Granta Sport will remain at the minimum ballast of -20kg, while the normally aspirated cars competing in the three-race Eurosport Asia Trophy will all run at base weight, with three races required before their new weight could be calculated.
