Roar Lindland replaced by Roger Samuelsson at Team Tidö

Roar Lindland has left Team Tidö ahead of the two final 2013 STCC races. The Norwegian is instead going to focus on his Porsche Supercup program and is replaced by racing newcomer Roger Samuelsson for the Tierp Arena race this weekend.

Samuelsson has never before taken part in a race, but has driven for Team Tidö in historic rallying. The team tested for two days ahead of this weekend’s race with Samuelsson behind the wheel of the Saab 9-3.

“I want to thank David and Team Tidö for this opportunity. I am well aware that I am facing a major challenge this weekend, but I’m at least not feeling as a complete newcomer after two days of testing,” said Samuelsson.

Lindland’s best STCC finish this year was seventh at Solvalla and he is currently placed 12th in the championship.
