Yvan Muller heads Chevrolet 1-2 in first Argentina test

RML team-mates Yvan Muller and Tom Chilton headed the first test session at the Termas de Río Hondo track in Argentina. Muller posted a 1:49.878 as fastest lap time, beating Chilton by 0.386 seconds.

The fastest non-Chevrolet driver was Gabriele Tarquini with his Honda in third position, 0.471 seconds behind, ahead of the SEAT of Rob Huff and Honda drivers Norbert Michelisz and Tiago Monteiro.

Pepe Oriola claimed position seven ahead of Michel Nykjaer, James Thompson and Tom Coronel. Local hero José María López was eleventh fastest driving a Wiechers-Sport BMW, just over 1.2 seconds from Muller’s time.
