Force majeure engine change for Gabriele Tarquini
Castrol Honda World Touring Car Team’s Gabriele Tarquini has been granted an engine change and will face no penalty after the damage sustained in Hungary.
The Italian’s car was severely damaged in the second race on the first lap, after making contact with RML driver Yvan Muller’s Chevrolet at Turn 3, spinning into the barriers and then collected by Franz Engstler’s BMW as it returned to the track.
The FIA have granted Honda permission to change the engine as the damage was a consequence of the incident in the race.
