Roar Lindland fastest Saab driver in STCC test
STCC newcomer Roar Lindland was fastest Saab driver for Team Tidö in the first and final STCC test of 2013 at Knutstorp.
“This has been a really good first test for us and I feel surprisingly comfortable already in the Saab,” said Lindland.
The Norwegian was ninth fastest overall in the times from the three test days combined, 0.483 seconds from the fastest time set by Volvo driver Robert Dahlgren.
“We have still got a lot left to work on, I am after all new to the car and many of the other drivers have raced for a season in them already. But we couldn’t have gotten a better start and I am positive,” said Lindland.
Lindland has previously raced one-make Porsche cups and won the GT Cup last year for Flash Engineering.
“The STCC car is really quick and it takes some time to get used to. But with three effective days behind me, I feel well prepared for the season start. The team has given me an amazing welcome and I like Team Tidö’s way to work,” said Lindland.
