Matejovsky ahead of Rikli in second ETCC test at Monza

Czech BMW driver Michal Matejovský was fastest in the second ETCC test session at Monza ahead of the season premiere this weekend. Matejovský was just under half a second quicker than Rikli Motorsport driver Peter Rikli, driving a Honda Civic.

Mat’o Homola made it two BMWs in the top three with the third fastest time, just 0.125 seconds behind Rikli.

A BMW triplet occupied positions four to six, with Swiss driver Christian Fischer in fourth, Russian Oleg Petrikov in fifth and Turkish driver Ibrahim Okyay in sixth.

The best of the Single-make Trophy drivers was Frenchman Aurélien Comte with his SEAT León Supercopa in seventh position, setting an identical time down to the very same thousand of a second to Okyay.

The top S1600 driver was Oleksander Ivanchenko for Master KR Racing, driving a Ford Fiesta, with Klaus Bingler as his closest rival, eight tenths behind.
