Felice Tedeschi to race for Proteam at Sonoma
50-year-old Italian driver Felice Tedeschi will be the newest addition to the grid for this weekend’s round of the FIA World Touring Car Championship at Sonoma Raceway, California.
Tedeschi will drive the #48 BMW 320 TC of Proteam Racing, which has not been raced since the Morrocan round of the WTCC back in April, when the car was driven by Spaniard Isaac Tutumlu for the first three rounds of the Championship.
Proteam Racing will therefore be fielding two cars for the first time in five months, with Tedeschi joining Mehdi Bennani at the team.
Tedeschi has experience primarily from Italian motorsport, including the Italian Formula 3 and Italian Super Touring Car Championships in the 1990s, but has also recently competed in the International Superstars Series for Roma Racing in their Mercedes C63 AMG.
