Second Triple Eight car for Jeff Smith at last minute

Renault Clio Cup racer will move up to the BTCC this weekend for his time in the championship, racing in the second Triple Eight Vauxhall Vectra.

Smith, who races for Team Pyro in the Elf Renault Clio Cup and currently sits seventh in the points standings, will race car number 15 alongside regular Triple Eight driver James Nash.

Jeff Smith, 44 from Wellingborough, will be the fifth different driver to race with the team this year after Fabrizio Giovanardi, Phil Glew, James Nash & Daniel Lloyd.

Daniel Lloyd has said he is working on raising the sponsorship money to compete for the team at Donington Park in two weeks time.
