Penalties for Häkkinen & La Rosa

Mercedes-driver Mika Häkkinen and Daniel la Rosa gets penalties after the controversial race at Barcelona earlier today. The stewards decided to penalize both drivers with – 10 places for the coming race at Hockenheim. Added to that Häkkinen is forced to pay a fine of 20.000 euro and La Rosa 10.000 euro.

Häkkinen crashed out Audi-driver Martin Tomczyk with seven laps to go while la Rosa crashed out Mattias Ekström of Audi. This was two of the incidents that made Audi to pull out all cars from the race.
